YOUR PLAN. YOUR DEVICE.

PRIVACY, IN PLAIN ENGLISH.

Last updated September 20, 2026.

Your schedule is saved in your browser.

OffHitch stores your settings, rotation, PTO dates, shift exchanges, and trips in local browser storage. The app does not send your plan to an OffHitch account or database, and it does not automatically sync your plan between devices.

Backups are under your control.

When you export or share a backup, that file contains your plan. Keep it somewhere you trust, and share it only with people you choose. Clearing site data, switching browsers, or changing devices can remove access to your locally saved plan. Import a saved backup to restore it.

Website requests still happen.

Our hosting provider, Vercel, receives ordinary web requests when you visit the site and may process technical information such as your IP address, browser information, and request logs. OffHitch does not add advertising trackers or analytics scripts. The homepage fonts are hosted with the site; the planner may request fonts from Google Fonts and cache them for offline use.

The preview is separate from your plan.

The interactive calendar on the homepage uses an example schedule. Trying it does not read or change the plan you save in the app.

You can remove your local data.

Use your browser’s site-data controls to remove OffHitch’s stored plan and offline cache. Export a backup first if you want to keep your plan.

A planning tool, not an HR record.

OffHitch estimates balances from the inputs you provide. Your employer’s HR or payroll system is the official source for balances, accruals, and approved time off.
